Big Splash Graphics specializes in commercial vehicle wraps for any commercial business. We have a proven system for success with all our commercial wrap projects. Each wrap is considered a custom project from start to finish. Each commercial vehicle is photographed and measured before we design anything. All designs are custom and all work is done on-top of full scale photographs of your commercial vehicle. Our designer will work with you to ensure you are 100% satisfied with the design of your wrap prior to any printing or installation. Once a design is approved we continue with our wrap process which follows steps shown below.
We determine the amount of materials potentially required to wrap your vehicle and from there we can determine an estimate for your wrap project
We request a 50% deposit on the total cost of your wrap project. This enables us to purchase the 3M Control Tac and 3M Laminates required and also shows your commitment in working with us thru completion of your wrap project and allows us to convert your initial estimate to an actual order for production.
After a deposit is received, your project is given to our design department so they can bring your idea to life. Our designer will take the time required to discuss your project and your expectations before anything is designed. Initial design proofs are created showing at least one-side of your vehicle and once we know we’re going in a direction that satisfies your marketing needs we than design the remaining sides of the wrap. Usually, the wrap process can take a few days and in some cases up to a week or more depending upon the complexity of the design and your availability to respond to our designer. All design labor is billed into our wrap square footage rate, and we only charge for additional design time when wrap designs reach extended lengths of time “which is determined by our management” and will always be brought to a client’s attention if necessary.
Once a design is approved, we can than proceed with production. Keep in mind that at this point we have not mentioned anything about installation or scheduling. This is the most important aspect of our wrap process. At Big Splash Graphics we have found that determining installation dates prior to design and the printing of a wrap only causes major problems and disappointed customers. We will not provide an installation date for any wrap project until that wrap is fully printed. Once a design is approved the designer produces print files which make their way to the production department. The production department then prints the entire wrap on our 64” wide format eco-solvent based printers. Once the entire wrap is printed, we know “WHEN” the wrap will be dry and “WHEN” we can laminate the wrap. Knowing these variables allows us to schedule your wrap at a specific time that ensures your wrap is fully dry, laminated correctly, and installation ready.

If any company using solvent or eco-solvent based printers tells you they can print your wrap tomorrow and install right away.. they’re lying! By following this process, we ensure the quality of your wrap and ensure that it will hold up years after your vehicle leaves our shop. If a wrap is not produced properly, laminated too soon or installed before the ink cures… you are voiding any and all manufacturers’ warranties should you ever need to leverage them. At Big Splash we stand by our wraps for up-to 1 year and 3M stands along with us to ensure your wrap is warrantied should there be any material failures past 1 year. Now that we have your wrap printed, we can determine the next available installation date for your wrap. In most cases we will complete a commercial vehicle wrap in 3 business days. The vehicle is usually delivered to our shop at least 1 day prior to installation which means that most wraps take about 4 business days. We try to set realistic expectations with our clients so that we don’t keep your vehicle any longer than we must. We currently have 1 lead installer that completes all our commercial vehicle wraps. Since we have a limited installation staff, we average about 2 full commercial vehicle wraps per week. We try to be up-front and honest about our schedule and try to ensure your expectations are met. We hope to find other professional commercial wrap installers in the future but we don’t just let anyone disassemble or take a knife to our client’s vehicles. Again, we pride ourselves on our quality and expertise. We may not be the fastest wrap shop around, but our commercial wraps are some of the best quality wraps on the road today.
We always take the time to ensure we thoroughly post-heat our vehicle wraps before they leave our facility. This ensures that the wrap material is set in-place. Wrap vinyl will expand and contract with the hot and cold weather. We try to keep that to a minimum. We also try to do a thorough walk-around of each wrap to minimize any missing elements or issues missed during the installation process.
When a client comes to pickup their new commercial vehicle wrap, we always like to walk around each vehicle with the client to ensure they’re 100% satisfied with the project and to answer any questions that they may have. Once the wrap is inspected by the client we request that balance is paid in-full prior to any vehicle leaving our facility. We usually try to get photographs of each vehicle wrap during this time as well.
